Shipping & Tax FAQ
YOYO FOODS is a strictly B2B wholesale distributor. By placing an order on our store, you acknowledge and agree to the following shipping, delivery, and tax conditions.
🚚 SHIPPING & DELIVERY FAQ IN France & Europe
Q: What shipping methods do you offer?
We offer two options for our professional clients:
: Chronopost France & International delivery: If you do not have your own transport, we can arrange delivery via Chronopost & DGS Transports for bothboxes and pallets delivery as an additional service. Please note that the delivery costs are at your expense, and you bear the full responsibility for the goods during transit.
: Use your own carrier: You are welcome to use your own transport company. Your carrier will simply need to pick up the goods directly from our warehouse in Valenton, France.
Q: How do I know what my shipping fee will be when placing an order online?
A: Simply enter your complete delivery address on the checkout page. Shipping fees are automatically calculated at checkout based on your destination address, total weight, and order volume before you complete your payment.
Q: How can I lower my shipping cost per item/box?
A: The more boxes you order, the lower your shipping cost per box will be. For larger orders of 10 boxes or more, we recommend switching to pallet shipping service, which significantly reduces shipping expenses compared to sending individual parcels.
Q: How do I know what my pallet shipping fee will be when placing a larger order?
A: Currently, our online checkout page supports box shipping only (up to 10 boxes for French customers, and up to 30 kg for other European customers). If your order exceeds these limits, please contact us directly for a custom pallet delivery fee. We will be happy to provide you with a free price quotation tailored to your order!
Q : Who is responsible if my goods are lost or damaged during delivery?
Because we are a strictly B2B wholesaler, all our shipments operate on an "Ex-Warehouse" basis. This means the transfer of risk occurs the exact moment the goods leave our warehouse. Once the carrier takes possession of your pallets or boxes, the goods travel entirely at your risk and peril. YOYO FOODS is not liable for any loss, damage, theft, or temperature abuse that occurs during transit.
Q: My order arrived damaged. Will YOYO FOODS issue a refund or replacement? No. Because the responsibility for the delivery is entirely yours once the goods leave our warehouse, YOYO FOODS does not issue refunds, credits, or replacements for goods damaged or lost by the carrier. You must claim compensation directly from the transport company.
Q: What exactly should I do if my delivery arrives damaged? To ensure the carrier's insurance covers your loss, you must follow this strict legal procedure:
: Inspect immediately: Check all pallets and boxes in the presence of the delivery driver before signing anything.
: Write reservations: If anything is missing or damaged, write clear, precise, and detailed reservations on the driver's official delivery slip (e.g., "2 boxes of mango syrup crushed and leaking").
: File a formal claim: You must confirm this damage directly with the carrier by sending them a Registered Letter with Acknowledgment of Receipt (LRAR) within 3 business days of delivery.
💶 EU VAT & TAX FAQ
Q: I am a business located in the EU (outside of France). Do I have to pay French VAT? If you are a registered business in an EU member state outside of France, you are eligible for a 0% Intra-Community VAT exemption.
Q: How do I get my order tax-exempt? It is completely automated on our website. During account creation or at checkout, you must enter your valid European VAT Number. Our system will instantly cross-check your number with the official European VIES database. Once validated, the VAT will be automatically deducted from your final cart total.
Q: What happens if I don't provide a VAT number or if it is invalid? If you do not provide a VAT number, or if the VIES system rejects the number you provided, we are legally required to apply the standard French VAT rate to your order. We cannot retroactively remove VAT once an invoice is generated without a valid number, so please ensure your details are correct before paying!
Q: I am a business located in France. Can I get a VAT exemption? No. Because YOYO FOODS is a registered French company shipping from a French warehouse, all domestic orders within France are subject to standard French VAT, regardless of your B2B status. You will be able to recover this VAT through your standard accounting declarations.
